Psyllium Seeds

Psyllium Seed is the general name used for numerous members of the plant species Plantago whose seeds are commercially used for the making of mucilage. It is chiefly taken into use as a dietary fiber to discharge symptoms of both mild diarrhea and constipation, and sometimes as a food thickener. It also lowers blood cholesterol levels. The shrub from which the seeds are extracted tolerates cool and dry climates and is mostly cultivated in northern India. It’s most commonly known as a laxative.
